PostSubject: Declined: Yms - Protection Warrior   Declined: Yms - Protection Warrior EmptyThu 29 Jul 2010, 2:09 pm

Character name: Yms
Age: 17
Country: Finland
Class: Warrior
Professions: Enchanting 450 / Jewelcrafting 450

A link to your character on Armory: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Outland&cn=Yms

If you have any other relevant gear, please describe it:

I have a rather bad fury os gear (around 5-5.1k gs).
I'm not that experienced in raiding as a fury warrior but I've dpsed many heroics and some ICC bosses that require less tanks than the "normal" boss encounters. I know the rotations/gemmings/enchants for my os inside out, so my performance as a fury warrior shouldn't be that bad.

How long have you played WOW? around 2-3 years. I started playing more actively on wotlk's launch and have been more or less active since then.

What is your raiding experience?

In TBC:

Karazhan,
Gruul's Lair,
Magtheridon,
SSC 2/6
TK 1/4

I raided as a mage in tbc. /armory Oreo if you please.

All 3.0 content clear. (mainly as a DK tank, my ex-main, Rukash)
Ulduar 10/25 up to the keepers of Ulduar
ToC 10/25 clear
ToGC 10 4/5
ICC10 8/12 and ICC25 6/12

What I really lack is experience from the "real" raids, as the wow veterans would probably say. By this I mean the last raids of TBC and Vanilla wow.

I consider myself a quite experienced player and tank. I know my class and role inside out and am willing to put time and effort in order to improve my performance and gaming. What comes to raiding, my strenght is preparation. I will be ready by reading tactics and watching videos, I won't be late and am always focused.

Do you have any other characters (server/name/class)? Mentioned above.

Previous guilds and why did you leave them?

The only guild I consider good enough to mention is Prosperity, a guild on this server that disbanded about half a year ago. We achieved lots in a small amount of time considering the fact that the guild was brand new and unfinished. I took a long break when 3.3 arrived and didn't raid ICC with the guild due that. When I started to play again, prosperity was having big problems and disbanded.

Why did you choose us? Because you seem to be a promising new, well organized guild. I've always preferred 10man raids over 25mans and this is just another reason why I like to join you guys. I'd also like to settle in to your community and learn to know new people.

What do you expect from us?

I expect good raid leading, friendly but serious and mature atmosphere and solid and steady progress from the guild.

What do you feel can you contribute with to the guild?

I'll bring my friendly and humorous person. I'm always ready to help guild mates because in the end, the amount of money you loaned or the mats you gave might be the reason why you achieved to down lich king hc the next evening.
I'm always prepared and know the tactics to the bosses inside out and have opinions of my own. I can take critisism and am ready to improve my performance always.

Do you know any players already in the guild? Who? I don't know anyone at this time.

Do you have a working microphone? I happen to have one.

Tell us a little about yourself:

Well, I'm a 17 year old bloke from Finland. I enjoy to spend time with my friends and girlfriend and to play world of warcraft. I also play soccer actively in better than average team and this is what occasionally might cut back my wow time aside with the fact that when school starts, I have to study hard in order to get good grades and graduate.
I hope to fit into your community and guild and if you have any further questions feel free to contact me through the forums, as my computer is in maintenance atm and I can't log in a week.

Nice application, both yours and Addict's.

On your part we have no reservations class wise at this point for Warriors so that could fit.

I should also mention that the majority of us are well into our twenties so age could be an issue, however you both came across as mature so that should not be a huge issue.

I have a questions though.
I was wondering what you have been up to recently?
Mostly just pugs? Or did you participate in organized weekly pugs?

Thanks for showing your interest though and taking the time to write a good application!

I would also like to ask how much you think this will roughly impact your play time?
We know people have lifes outside of WoW ofcourse and the way we're building the raidsquad we hope that we have some people with multiple roles to allow for people not being able to show up.
However to keep rotations of players between to a minimum (everyone wants to play right?) we are looking for people that can keep a relatively high attendance rate (say 2 out of 3 days).

Well, I have been doing some random pugs lately and focusing on real life while keeping the search up for a guild that would suit my interests the best.

I have been leveling some alts too in order to understand and master other specs/classes better and by this way make raiding/leading easier and better in my case.

What comes to soccer, yes, soccer's always going to come first before wow due the fact that I play it in relatively high level.
However, your every single raid fits my schelude perfectly and I would only miss raids incase we somehow end up having an extra practice/game that week, which is without doubt very rare. I'd say that my attendance will be 100% but I might miss a raid or two in about two months phase.

And what comes to my age, I know that I'm young but that's something I couldn't decide. There's going to be no mom/dad cutting my wow time because I play too much or dinners in middle of a raid from my part. I consider myself quite independent and mature fellow and would love to join your community despite my young age.

I hope I answered all your questions.

I leveled this character playing arms and have dpsed heroics/raids as one. It hasn't been my ms but yes, I know the drill, rotation, enchants and gemmings. To be honest, my experience as playing arms in raids isn't that great, I have dpsed in few toc10/25 and ICC raids (only on bosses that require different tank setup than usual).

Same goes for you, we really like your application and answers. Thing is, an old old friend and guildy have decided to join us and he is a tank so we need to have another look at our tank situation and have a chat before we can say anything final.

So we will get back to you sometime early or middle of next week on this one, sorry that it takes a bit of time.

Until then, have a fabulous weekend Smile

Just to add, if it seems that you don't have a spot for another warrior tank/dps in your guild, I will consider re-rolling a new character in order to join the guild if my application seems acceptable to you.

Hi again Yms,

I am sorry but I am going to decline you. With our old friend and guildmate joining us we are unfortunately now full on tanks and we can't find room for another dps warriors on either atm.

Thanks a lot for you time and the very best of luck in your search for a new guild Smile
